KGS and KCC name 14 new oil and gas fields in Kansas

The Kansas Geological Society and the Kansas Corporation Commission have named 14 new oil and gas fields in Kansas, down about 40 percent from a year ago.

The new fields are:

Hazelton Townshite in Barber County; Winderly in Bourbon County, Panther Ranch in Chase County, Church View South in Edwards County, Hyacinty SW and Debra Ann in Ellis County, Hoss Lake in Meade County, Rap NW in Ness County, Garfield North in Pawnee County, Springvale Townsite in Pratt County, Lost Plum Creek in Rice County, Longhorn and Scott City East in Scott County and Kindig NW in Thomas County.
